Dan is the President and Creative Director of Corporate Planners Unlimited, Inc., a Global provider of 20+ years providing Corporate Meeting and Travel Management services. Dan is an "Extreme Early Adopter" who has used his professional training in Computer Science and marketing to expand CPU's list of services in supporting such clients as Trend Micro, Earthlink, L’Oreal, Saint Gobain, DexCom, Microsoft, Amadeus, TelePacific, Cable & Wireless to name a few. CPU offers creative planning with edgy marketing and web registration design, along with innovative social networking strategies for CPU’s clientele.
Dan is a Co-Founder of MeCo, “The Meetings Community”. The Meeting and Events industries largest online listserv, with thousands of Global, Professional Corporate, Government and Association Meeting Professionals along with invited key Hospitality Industry suppliers. MeCo is a prominent worldwide meeting resource, attracting many of the most important and knowledgeable planners and suppliers as members, who post daily their experiences, suggestions and general industry information. Over the first 6 years as a Moderator, Dan built a large audience of readers and followers who looked to him for his "Monday Morning Motivation pep talk" as well as his ability to keep them up to date with the latest and greatest tools, gadgets and techniques to improve their performance as planners. Dan recently launched the popular "MeCo Social Media Headquarters" group on Facebook, partnering with some of Social Media's top instructors, authors and leaders.
Dan is a official Foursquare Ambassador, and a Foursquare “Super User 2″, and he coordinates and hosts the Foursquare Day Celebration in Victoria. Dan also hosts the bi-weekly Victoria Lunch Tweetups group that meets at “High Noon on Hump Day"; where you will find him sharing the latest information, tips and tricks about Foursquare, Twitter Facebook along with all the coolest iPhone, Android and Blacberry Applications. Dan was nominated for three West Coast Social Media Awards in 2011 for "Best Use of Social Media for Customer Service", "Most Inspiring Social Media User", and "Most Likely to Become a Social Media Celebrity"
